Personal Data Processing Disclosure Statement

At Moresurgery, we place great importance on the security of your personal data. We ensure that all personal data, including sensitive personal data, is processed and stored in the best possible way with the utmost care. As the Data Controller, we process your personal data within the scope of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“Law”) and relevant regulations, as outlined below.

In order to provide high-standard health tourism services, we collect your personal data through oral, written, visual, or electronic means via channels such as call centers, the internet, mobile applications, physical spaces, and others, depending on the nature of the services provided. This includes personal health data and other general and sensitive personal data necessary for the provision of accommodation, transportation, medical diagnosis, examination, treatment, and care services. The following is a list of key personal data we process:

  • Your identity data such as your name, surname, Turkish ID number, passport number or temporary Turkish ID number if you’re not a Turkish citizen, place and date of birth, marital status, gender, and a copy of your Turkish ID Card or Driver’s License,

  • Medical diagnosis, treatment, and care services including laboratory and imaging results, test results, examination data, prescription information, and sexual life-related data obtained during the provision of these services,

  • Responses and comments you share to evaluate our services,

  • Audio call recordings if you contact our Call Center,

  • Contact details such as your address, phone number, and email address,

  • Financial data such as your bank account number and IBAN,

  • Data related to private health insurance and Social Security Institution for financing and planning health services,

  • All transportation data for your travel from your location to the treatment facility,

  • All accommodation information during the treatment process,

  • Navigation information, IP address, browser data, medical documents, surveys, form data, and location data obtained during the use of our website and mobile applications.

The above personal and sensitive data may be processed for the following purposes:

  • Protection of public health, preventive healthcare, medical diagnosis, treatment, and care services,

  • Sharing requested information with the Ministry of Health and other public institutions in accordance with relevant legislation,

  • Fulfillment of legal and regulatory requirements,

  • Financing of health services, payment for examinations, diagnoses, treatments, and special insurance companies for eligibility inquiry,

  • Providing you information regarding communications made via our Call Center and digital channels,

  • Verification of your identity by patient services, health professionals, call center staff, and employees,

  • Analyzing and improving guest and health services by quality, patient experience, and information systems departments,

  • Training employees by human resources and quality departments,

  • Monitoring and preventing fraud and unauthorized actions by auditing and information systems departments,

  • Implementing risk management and quality improvement activities by quality, patient experience, and information systems departments,

  • Billing for services by patient services, finance, marketing, and accommodation departments,

  • Verifying relationships with Moresurgery’s affiliated institutions by patient services, finance, marketing, and accommodation departments,

  • Addressing all your queries and complaints regarding health and accommodation services by patient experience, patient rights, call center, and accommodation departments,

  • Ensuring data security and taking all necessary technical and administrative measures for Moresurgery’s systems and applications by Moresurgery’s information systems department,

  • Providing campaign information and special content on web and mobile channels by marketing, media, communications, call center, and accommodation departments,

  • Measuring, improving, and researching patient and guest satisfaction by patient rights, patient experience, and accommodation departments.

The personal and sensitive personal data mentioned above will be stored securely and meticulously in physical and electronic archives within Moresurgery and external service providers, in compliance with the legal regulations.

Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may be shared with the following organizations in accordance with the Health Services Basic Law No. 3359, Decree Law No. 663 on the Organization and Duties of the Ministry of Health and Its Affiliates, the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, the Regulation on Private Hospitals, the Regulation on the Processing of Personal Health Data and Protection of Privacy, and Ministry of Health regulations, and for the purposes explained above:

  • Ministry of Health, its subordinate units, and family medicine centers,

  • Private insurance companies (health, retirement, life insurance, etc.),

  • Social Security Institution,

  • General Directorate of Security and other law enforcement agencies,

  • The healthcare institution to which the patient is referred or the one the patient applies to,

  • Third-party consultants including our lawyers, tax advisors, and auditors,

  • Regulatory and supervisory bodies and public authorities,

  • Suppliers, support service providers, archiving service providers, and business partners we benefit from.
